j and j pre-wedding pictures at the Meiji Shrine

After spending an hour or so wandering around Harajuku before the shops opened and the crowds came and getting some great pre-wedding pictures, we walked off to the Meiji Jingu Shrine, along Omotesando, for some more photography.

The Meiji Jingu shrine itself is quite way down from the entrance but the walk down the tree-lined gravel path is beautiful. Just a few hundred metres away is the busy Harajuku and Omotedando areas, but all thoughts of that are lost as you walk along the wide avenue amongst the trees to the shrine itself. The modern funky Harajuku and the stately Meiji Shrine set in the forest – a nice contrast, so close together.
