A beautiful day in Tokyo for a date at the Meiji Shrine, a stroll up Omotesando and a walk through the frentic Shibuya. And an even better day for a pre wedding shoot.
Some kind comments from our couple
“These are amazing, the turnout is everything we expected and more. It was a pleasure working with you guys and we were very lucky to have Yosuke take these pictures. Thanks again … we will highly recommend you.”
After meeting up at Harajuku station we headed off to Meiji Shrine, only a couple of minutes away.
The entrance gate to the walk up the through the forest to the Meiji Shrine. Amazing that the bustling city is only a few minutes walk away.
Japanese sake gifts to the shrine on display make a great background.
We spied on a pre wedding group photo – perhaps our couple should also get married at the Meiji Shrine?!
Not to be outdone by our photography Yosuke, our couple couldn’t resist taking some shots as well. .
Back out through the tori gate, past Harajuku station and up Omotesando.
First a stroll through Takeshita Dori, in Harajuku.
An early morning so most of the shops were closed. Which was probably a good thing as from around lunchtime the streets are packed. As the sigh says, a ‘good day’.
Got to buy some crepes if you go to Harajuku!
A random wander around the back streets of Harajuku and Omotesando always reveals some interesting shops and shots. Casual and fun brings out the best smiles in everyone.
Of course there are vending machines in other countries, but Japan has taken the jidohanbaiki to a whole different level.
Beautiful light and shadows up Omotesando.
Then it was off to Shibuya on the train for 5 minutes.
The Shibuya scramble crossing – our couple helpfully lit up by the sunlight .
